This new blade is recommended by Zhang Jike to all committed players who play offensively but are looking for better ball control. In his home country, the Chinese superstar runs a table tennis school and knows from experience that extremely fast blades are not the best choice for every player. This insight led to the development of the DONIC ZHANG JIKE NEW ERA.
The core is made of Kiri wood, with two layers of Ayous. But here comes the special feature: instead of the usual two, three finely interwoven synthetic fiber layers give the ZHANG JIKE NEW ERA an even more refined ball feel. The outer plies are made of Limba, which is slightly softer than the Koto wood used in the ZHANG JIKE ORIGINAL CARBON, further enhancing control.
