Uncompromisingly fast, stiff, and highly effective
MATADOR HYBRID CARBON is the latest model in the famous MATADOR series. It is the blade used by Dr. Neubauer’s top player Luka Mladenovic (LUX / WR 86 in July 2024) and was specially designed for his playing style: high speed for topspin attacks with inverted rubbers and impressive effectiveness when used with pips.
This OFF+ blade features a layer of Hybrid Aramid Carbon on the forehand and a layer of Texalium on the backhand, each placed beneath the outer veneer. The outer veneers remain unchanged, offering a fairly hard yet still relatively responsive feel.
MATADOR HYBRID CARBON is very fast, stiff, and “direct.” It allows for extremely aggressive offensive play with inverted rubbers or offensive long pips. Both controlled opening spins and powerful stroke spins are easy to execute. The Hybrid Aramid Carbon fiber on the forehand provides maximum speed and spin, while the Texalium on the backhand offers more control.
Like all other models in the proven MATADOR series, MATADOR HYBRID CARBON is excellent for play with offensive pips and smooth anti-spin rubbers, producing either a low trajectory or very effective spin reversal. It is therefore equally a weapon for modern, uncompromising power play and a highly effective material blade.

MATADOR TEXA BALSA has the same construction as MATADOR TEXA, including the synthetic fiber material, but its Balsa core provides a slightly softer, more elastic feel. It is, therefore, a good alternative for material players who require both high speed and effectiveness with pimple-out and anti-spin rubbers, as well as a softer feel with more control. Unlike traditional Balsa blades, MATADOR TEXA BALSA doesn't provide the typical Balsa feel, as the use of synthetic fiber layers and hard outer veneers ensures that a fast and spin-rich topspin game can be played.

With the MATADOR, we already have an OFF-wood in our range that has quickly gained a reputation as a very effective material wood in this speed category. The new MATADOR TEXA is based on a similar construction, but it has been enhanced with special synthetic fiber material and now consists of 9 layers. The result is a slightly faster wood with high penetration power for modern offensive play. Both hard power spins and slower, highly spin-loaded topspin balls are no problem. However, MATADOR TEXA also stands out for its pronounced disruptive effect when combined with long pimples and anti-spin rubbers. The wood allows for the crucial flat ball bounce for material players, both in passive blocking with long pimples and in aggressive chopping at the table. With our anti-spin rubbers, as with the MATADOR, maximum spin reversal is achieved, and despite the high speed, the ball can also be returned surprisingly short. With offensive long pimple rubbers, a similarly powerful and dangerous attacking game can be played. MATADOR TEXA – A must-have, especially for aggressive material players!
