Product information "Stiga tt-blade Cybershape Carbon"
Cybershape Carbon is a completely new blade with a unique shape and larger hitting surface! Cybershape is a table tennis blade unlike anything you have ever seen before. Not only does it have a unique and impressive shape, but it also features an optimized hitting surface. Our studies have shown that for most players, the optimal hitting surface is in the upper half of the blade. For this reason, we have optimized the hitting surface so that it is 11% larger with a shakehand grip and 9% larger with a penhold grip than with a conventional blade. One of the special features of Cybershape is that the hitting surface is up to 6.5 cm closer to the table during returns than with a round blade (2.5 cm). Since the majority of a professional player's strokes (both backhand and forehand) are executed on the upper half of the blade, Cybershape excels in this area. The larger hitting surface provides an improved sweet spot, making it easier for the player to control their short serves and returns, for example. Since the hitting surface has been enlarged at the top, the bottom has been reduced by 2% to prevent the blade from becoming too heavy and causing imbalance. Cybershape is a 5+2-layer wood based on CCF (Close Core Fiber) technology, which means that the carbon layer sits directly on the wood core. The result is more control and speed. Thanks to the lightweight and technologically advanced carbon fiber composite material manufactured in Germany, we were able to balance the weight so that Cyberspace has a larger surface area than a normal wood racket but is not heavier. Cybershape's unique shape also makes it easier for players to see the hitting area when serving. Thanks to the different angles, players can choose from six corners, depending on the type and strength of spin they want. In collaboration with the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, we also tested Cybershape's vibration properties, i.e., how the racket reacts when it hits the ball. The tests showed that Cybershape has a larger sweet spot than a normally shaped blade, which is located further out on the blade. The frequency response is also more linear, which means that the vibrations are transmitted differently to the grip and hand. For the player, this means a completely new and unique playing feel compared to a conventional blade.
