With EXPLOSION, it has now become possible to develop an extremely dynamic and highly dangerous short pips rubber. The rubber allows for high speed during counterattacks and shots with all sponge thicknesses. At the same time, a flat and dipping ball trajectory is achieved, especially with thinner sponges, causing direct errors from the opponent. Even when blocking, a very unpleasant ball flight path is produced, one that is unparalleled in the realm of short pips. Not only can the classic block shot be used, but also a type of “stop-block” that causes the ball to die just behind the net. A slight counteraction when blocking will also put the opponent under significant pressure, as the ball virtually “stays in place.” This works best with the thinner sponge thicknesses of 1.2 and 1.5mm.
EXPLOSION enables both highly effective and aggressive short pips play, but it does require some experience and training.

With EXPLOSION PRO, the developers have managed to increase both the speed and the disruptive effect slightly. The rubber plays overall "explosively," as the ball can be accelerated significantly during counter-hitting and especially on direct shots. This results in an even flatter ball trajectory, which will cause the opponent to make mistakes. EXPLOSION PRO also offers good to very good control, allowing all short pimple strokes to be executed with high accuracy. The best compromise between control and disruptive effect is achieved with thinner sponge thicknesses (1.2mm and 1.5mm). With a thicker sponge, the rubber becomes faster but produces slightly less disruptive effect.
