MATADOR TEXA CARBON is the fastest variant in our successful MATADOR blade series. The blade features a layer of Texalium on the backhand side and a layer of Carbon on the forehand side. The outer veneers remain unchanged, providing a relatively hard yet still responsive feel.
MATADOR TEXA CARBON is faster and "more direct" than the proven MATADOR TEXA. It enables a very fast, aggressive attacking game with inverted rubbers. Both controlled opening spins and powerful drive spins come surprisingly easily. The carbon layer on the forehand side generates a lot of pressure and spin, while the Texalium material on the backhand side offers a touch more control.
MATADOR TEXA CARBON is particularly well-suited for play with offensive pimples and anti-spin rubbers, as it produces a flat ball trajectory and excellent spin reversal. It is thus both a highly dynamic attacking weapon and a very effective material blade.

The new MATADOR TEXA is based on a similar construction, but it has been enhanced with special synthetic fiber material and now consists of 9 layers. The result is a slightly faster wood with high penetration power for modern offensive play. Both hard power spins and slower, highly spin-loaded topspin balls are no problem. However, MATADOR TEXA also stands out for its pronounced disruptive effect when combined with long pimples and anti-spin rubbers. The wood allows for the crucial flat ball bounce for material players, both in passive blocking with long pimples and in aggressive chopping at the table. With our anti-spin rubbers, as with the MATADOR, maximum spin reversal is achieved, and despite the high speed, the ball can also be returned surprisingly short.
